The Plot: Used-car liquidator Don Ready (Piven) is hired by a flailing auto dealership to turn their Fourth of July sale into a majorly profitable event.

THE BUZZ: Jeremy Piven in Ari Gold mode is obviously the reason this lower-budget comedy was greenlighted, but the secret weapon here is Neal Brennan, a former special ingredient from “Chappelle’s Show” who makes his directorial debut. This is the second project from Gary Sanchez Productions, Will Ferrell and Adam McKay’s company, but let’s hope this one fares a bit better at the box office than The Foot Fist Way. However, I have to say: It would provide some sort of surprise and relief if Ferrell and McKay could find a better way to title their project than their reliable colon/character name formula. Sounds nitpicky, I know.
