The Plot: College student Charlie Banks (Eisenberg) has to face old problems when Mick (Ritter), a troubled young man from his past, arrives on campus and begins to insinuate himself into Charlie’s life.
THE BUZZ: Jesse Eisenberg is the indie world’s Peter Pan, as he stars in yet another coming-of-age drama that appears to have little chance at survival outside of LA, NYC, etc. Meanwhile, Fred Durst cut his teeth on this one before The Longshots faded into last summer. But let’s hope for the best here: If Durst can approximate 1980s Greenwich Village, and Eisenberg and his able-bodied co-stars (we’d love to see you work some more, Eva Amurri) can get some new ideas out of TV writer Peter Elkoff’s material, I’d be down for some nostalgia.
